Built to be simple

One tap to test

No setup, no sign-up, no permission prompts before you start. Open the app and press go.

Measured on Cloudflare

Tests run against Cloudflare's global network, so the server is close to you wherever you are.

History that stays yours

Every result is saved on your device, never uploaded. Watch how your connection behaves across the day or the week.

Widget on your home screen

Your most recent result, visible at a glance on the home screen or lock screen.

Knows your connection

Labels each result with Wi-Fi or cellular, your provider, and the network generation, so comparisons make sense.

Free, honestly

Supported by ads. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no paywalled features, no trial that charges you later.

Why your speed changes

A connection is never a single number. The speed reaching your device depends on where you are in the house, how many devices share the line, interference from neighbouring networks, and how busy your provider's network is at that hour. Pingly makes that visible: test from the sofa and from the bedroom, at noon and at nine in the evening, and the pattern tells you whether the problem is your Wi-Fi or your provider.

Getting a reliable reading

  1. Move close to the router, ideally with no walls in between.
  2. Pause downloads, streaming, and backups on other devices.
  3. Run the test two or three times rather than trusting a single number.
  4. Repeat at different times of day — evening congestion is real.

Privacy by design

Pingly measures how fast your connection is, not what travels over it. It does not read your browsing history, the contents of your traffic, the apps or sites you use, or your Wi-Fi password, and it never asks for Location Services. Your test history is stored on your device and we never receive it. Ads keep the app free, and if you decline Apple's tracking prompt every feature keeps working exactly the same.
